My son endured 8 years of speech therapy in the public school system. The therapy received in school was good (not putting anyone down), he just got to a point where he was not improving. His grades were good, so he was eventually let go from their program. We floundered for many months until we found Melanie. At this point my son was 14 years old and very self conscious about his speech. He wouldn't speak up in class and would avoid speaking to anyone he didn't know very well. Melanie was so good with him. She worked with him like one adult to another and did her research. She (quite frankly) was stumped for a short while, but her research paid off. Melanie discovered my son had a tough tie. Although hard to diagnose because it was not immediately apparent, we were sent to Birmingham to the Alabama Tongue Tie Center and had the surgery. Six short months later it is like he never had a problem. Melanie was a God Send! Highly recommend her child or adult. She is Wonderful!
