I was diagnosed in Jan 2024 with prostate cancer. My regular urologist referred me to Dr. Tomasch for a consult prior to possible robotic laparoscopic prostatectomy. (RLP). My consultation with Dr. Tomasch was thorough and comprehensive, allowing me to make an informed decision between RLP and radiation therapy. I chose RLP, and I'm thrilled that I did. Dr. Tomasch and his team faced an extreme challenge during the surgery due to unexpected adhesions that blocked his path. Dr. Tomasch persevered and carefully removed the obstruction while also removing the cancerous prostate and sparing as much tissue as possible; a 3 hour surgery lasted almost six hours. I am now at undetectable PSA, and only six weeks after surgery have almost no incontinence and am on my way to recovering full sexual function. Thank you Dr. Tomasch, for your meticulous surgical skills, patience, determination, and dedication to your patient. You literally saved my life.
