I've been lucky enough to see Dr. Ma 2x during my urgent care visits. The first time I had severe pain with urination, thought I had a UTI. Dr. Ma explained that it didn't sound like UTI, possibly stones instead. She explained the difference, told me what I can do for the pain, gave me a urine strainer to find out what type of stones so I can prevent it, and referred me to a urologist. The urologist was impressed that I was so knowledgeable! The 2nd time I went, I had a cut. I am on blood thinners, so it wouldn't stop bleeding until it was stitched up. She explained everything I should expect during the stitching process, numbed me up well, gave me a splint and supplies for home, and told me what to do at home. My cut healed great and I don't even have a scar because she told me ways to prevent scarring. Sometimes there is a long wait at urgent care, but I don't mind the wait if I know Dr. Ma will be taking care of me because she is thorough and I trust her knowledge.
