She had lived with CHF for over 30 years, and was transferred to his care with severe complications from an Impella surgery done elsewhere. Dr. Kaku solved the problem right away and a month later, performed her transplant surgery successfully. She had several pre-existing conditions and had become quite weak from a lengthy hospital stay, but he helped her come out of the operation room with no ECMO or other assist devices. She is recovering beautifully. Also, he is a caring, compassionate person with great bedside manners!
