Dr. Stansfield was my Surgeon for my quadruple bypass surgery. I had suffered a heart attack and this was my very first surgery I had ever endured. Dr. Stansfield came to my hospital room a day before surgery and reassured me of his expertise in his field and that he had performed more than three thousand bypass procedures. His jovial bedside manner eased my fears and I knew I was in good hands. When I woke up in ICU, he was standing right there, he took my hand and said 'It was textbook'...I'm grateful that The Lord sent me to this wonderful Surgeon, and 6 months post surgery, I feel GREAT and am back to my normal everyday life before my heart attack. If you are in search of an experienced Surgeon, you have found him in Dr. William Stansfield at Advocate Condell Hospital in Libertyville, Illinois!

What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
