I went into ER with sudden severe abdominal pain, and within hours I was told I had perforation and would need surgery. I am grateful Dr. Maciel was called that night to perform the emergency surgery. His demeaner and explanation of all possibilities made me immediately feel so much more at ease. The surgery went very well, and the recovery is also going well. Two weeks after the surgery, I had a follow up with Dr. Maciel. He was very patient, listened and answered all my questions. I highly recommend Dr. Maciel.
