Colonoscopy done Oct.2022. January 2023 having issues with diverticulitis no perforation, treated with antibiotics. June 2023, still not doing well, CT scan, perforated diverticulitis, pain getting worse, another CT scan,now have multiple abscesses and fluids in pelvis. Dr. Tim Dawson discusses with me attempted trial of antibiotics w/interval sigmoid colectomy versus proceeding to operating for sigmoid colectomy with ostomy. Dr. Tim Dawson discusses risk benefits and alternatives to open sigmoid colectomy w/possible colostomy, possible ileostomy, including infection, bleeding, injury surrounding structures. 6/12/2023 Surgery, sigmoid colon resection w anastomosis, diverting loop ileostomy, drainage of intra abdominal abscess, repair of colovesical fistula. 9/12/2023 SURGERY, removal of ileostomy reconnecting intestines. Dr Tim Dawson very professional, confident, wise, empathetic, out reaching, goes above and beyond to take the best care of me, (patient). Very happy, excited and pleased with Dr Tim Dawson, saved my LIFE. I'm very proud to have Dr Dawson for my surgeon.
