How likely are you to recommend Dr. Collins Jr?
Appendectomy, Dr Collins was very good, caring Dr. It's what happened post surgery that was a nightmare. Though I went to a post op floor, I got no post op care, at all. I wasnt given an inspiratory spirometer, no coughing or sitting up for me. Room temp was 55, though I begged for a blanket, I got an extra sheet. Then less than 24 hrs after surgery, I was told to take a walk, to my car. By this time my lungs were already affected. I drove home with no memory of that. Next day, I couldn't breathe. Was diagnosed with aspiration pneumonia, bilateral pleural effusions and I was scared! Called Dr Collins office but they wouldn't see me until my 4 week appt so my primary care took care of me. My pulmonologist said, "the hospital nearly let me die". Don't go to BRMC, I mean EVER. Travel nurses were what I saw and they really didn't care at all for my life
