Patient Reviews

I’ve had 5 surgeries over the last 4 years and have come to dread the time in recovery due to severe, uncontrolled pain. I was fortunate enough to have Dr. Yang be my anesthesiologist yesterday at Chesapeake Regional. He promised me he would take good care of me and he absolutely kept that promise. I can’t begin to express how thankful I am that I had Dr Yang and Dr Steven Powers as my Dr’s. I had minimal discomfort for several hours after my surgery. Most importantly I know that it is now possible to have a surgery without the fear of the recovery room and what to expect as the anesthesia wears off. So very grateful!

What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
