I originally encountered Dr. Nazir when my 93 year old mother fell very ill with heart problems and was admitted to the hospital. He was the Cardiologist on call and we couldn't have gotten any luckier. He promptly assessed her situation and said that he would be to handle her in the outpatient setting and scheduled her for a follow up appointment 2 weeks later. At the 2 week appointment we arrived but needed a wheelchair, they didn't have one available in their office so his nurse went off into the vast complex of this hospital system to find one. Dr. Nazir personally called the admin office to get someone to facilitate the nurse to get us a wheelchair. Long story short, we were 20-30 minutes late when the appointment actually started. Dr. Nazir never seemed upset with us, did not rush through the appointment like so many other doctors would have. At that visit, we developed an immediate bond with Dr. Nazir and it lasts to this day. He is the reason she is still alive.
