I was very fortunate to have Dr. Smith as my surgeon when I spent 5 days in St. David's hospital in Georgetown with a painful bowel obstruction. He calmed my apprehension with his positive attitude, professional manner, and his reassuring guidance on how we would proceed together toward a successful resolution. After efforts to clear the obstruction without surgery, he told me that we needed to go that route, and he was hoping that the surgery would be limited to the minimally invasive arthroscopic method - - which fortunately turned out to be the case. I recovered quickly with almost no pain, and with great gratitude that I had Dr. Smith with me during this scary period. Dr. Smith is a wonderful surgeon, and a very nice person.
