How likely are you to recommend Dr. Algar?
I have a rare neuromuscular disease that likes to act up and be a general freak show of symptoms…in other words, I’m a neurological hot mess. Dr. Algar saw me in the hospital as I teetered just above intubation. He did what so few neurokogists do these days: he listened!!! After 14 years with this obnoxious disease, I have some idea of what works with me…and I have zero doubt that because of his knowledge, willingness to listen and work with me/my specific needs, and compassion, I was able to avoid intubation and a lengthy ICU stay. The last part is the best: when you are facing a disease that can stop your breathing, having someone on your side who is compassionate and eases stress rather than adding to it can make all the difference. Highly recommend him!!!
