I spoke with Dr. Patel this morning through the MDLive platform due to sudden development of pain in my jaw and behind my ear. I had just become a reduction-in-force employee and was on the last day of active insurance when this happened suddenly. I, like many others, am use to being treated like a common part on an assembly line so my heart was warmed and filled with joy when Dr. Patel treated me like a human being and asked me to keep him updated about my condition if it did not improve. He asked many questions and when I did not understand, he patiently guided me until I understood and could provide what he needed to make a diagnosis. His attitude should be one shared by ALL in the medical profession but sadly it is not. Don't lose your spark, Dr. Patel. The medical world and patients need to see and experience your bedside manner, kindness, patience and wisdom during times of health struggle. Thank you for serving others in this profession. May God bless you!
