Patient Reviews
Jan 12, 2023
After my wife, Karen, was told (by a different doctor) that her stage 3 Pancreatic Cancer was inoperable we were lead to Doctor Peter Allen by a sister of one of his patients. Dr. Allen was able to see Karen within a few days of her call to his office. Her appointment was at the Duke Cancer Center and after Dr. Allen introduced himself he stated that he had already seen Karen’s records and he believed her cancer is operable. That was on January 3, 2020. Less than two weeks later Karen was taking her first chemo treatment. On May 27, 2020 Dr. Allen performed Whipple Surgery and today (Jan 11, 2023 Karen is cancer free. Karen’s road was difficult and tough. She was courageous, but needed the expertise of a knowledgeable and skilled physician and that physician was Doctor Peter Allen. Doctor Allen was compassionate and kind yet direct and spoke with years of practice, confidence and knowledge. We thank God for directing us to Doctor Allen and we thank Doctor Allen for using the skill and knowledge that our Lord gave him to save Karen’s life. Today, Karen is back up to 115 pounds from her low of 84 pounds. She has life in her eyes and joy in her heart. Thank you Doctor Allen!

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
