Patient Reviews
Apr 14, 2024
I’d like to thank the Orthopedic Institute of NJ, specifically Dr Teja, his PA Diane, and the other people on their team. I was attacked while walking my dog on Goldmine Road in Budd Lake. I was picked up and thrown down on my shoulder. My rotator cuff was crushed, several tendons torn or detached, my bicep was torn, my clavicle damaged, and something was damaged about halfway down my back. Dr Teja said that if I did not get surgery I would have lost complete use of my arm. That was 8 months ago.Dr. Teja was able to address what I consider to be severe damage arthroscopically. I am told that the standard procedure would be to open me up, once they realized the severity of the damage. The surgery took 2 and a half hours. I pretty much have full use of my arm, after 6 months of hard work 3 times a week with the physical therapists at Ivy Rehab Physical Therapists in Randall, which is a partner of the Orthopedic Institute, and at home. I am told the recovery time for this type
