Patient Reviews
May 19, 2023
I was not a candidate for transcatheter aortic valve replacement. I wanted to avoid the traditional surgical approach involving a 6-to-8-inch incision through the breastbone because of 6-8 week healing and increased possibility of serious post-operative infection. After researching what I could, minimally invasive heart valve surgery became the clear alternative. Further research showed Dr. Doolabh, the Director of Minimally Invasive Heart Valve Surgery at UT Southwestern, is a leader in this valve replacement procedure. He has performed more than 3,000 minimally invasive heart valve surgeries. I found Dr. Doolabh to be friendly, engaging, and very willing to take the time to answer all of my questions and ensure I understood the answers. His entire team is phenomenal. My procedure went flawlessly. I could drive within a week and work out after 30 days. If you need a valve replacement, consider calling Dr. Doolabh at UT Southwest. It's a call that will change your life.

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams.
