I had a cracked tooth and needed mercury fillings replaced and searched for holistic dentist Los Gatos and found Top Down Dental Dr. Nancy Nehawandian. The staff are very nice, and the office is beautiful. It’s a highly educated and skilled dental staff that hold a libraries worth of knowledge about our mouth and its connection to the rest of our body. I have gum recession behind my front lower teeth and find out from Top Down Dental that its caused by a condition called “tongue-tie” that restricts the tongues range of motion and its ability to touch the roof of the mouth. Julie an amazing hygienist who corrects the tongue-tie problem says that tongue-tie causes the tongue to clamp down. Top Down Dental was the only dentist office to connect gum recession to my tied tongue. I also learned that root canals permanently shut off blood and nerve supply making it a dead tooth and then a breeding ground for bacteria to multiply and then circulate throughout the body.
