Patient Reviews
Jun 26, 2023
For 6 months I suffered from sciatica, extreme pain and weakness caused by a L5S1 disc herniation. Not impressed with the first surgeon I saw, I'm glad I found Dr Al Maaieh instead. Hearing me out, reviewing my MRI and evaluating me he said I'm indicated for and quickly scheduled a microdiscectomy. My anxiety about anesthesia and surgery was relieved by the professionalism of Dr Al Maaieh and everyone else involved. When I woke up, my sciatica was completely gone. I'm now two weeks post op and couldn't be happier: having the surgery with Dr Al Maaieh was the best decision of my life. Multiple nurses tols me I made a good choice, that he has a good reputation and they've sent family members for surgery with him. That should say a lot since they know lots of surgeons working at the hospital. I don't understand the negative reviews of Dr Al Maaieh. If you're not getting the timely care you expect from any surgeon, you need to proactively seek another, as I did before finding Dr Al Maaieh.
