Patient Reviews
Jul 27, 2021
I had 3 knee surgeries in a year 1/2. 2 of those surgeries were done by a local Ortho. I had a MPFL and meniscus repair in September 2019 & then another meniscus repair July 2020. I had multiple steriods shots, 2 rooster comb injections, and fluid drawn off my knee 3 times. I was in constant pain from July 2019- December 2020. He told me I needed a TKR but I was to young! He also told me I would have to wait until my mid 50's for a TKR, I was 36 ??. I finally went and saw Dr. Acurio for a 2nd opinion. He had me scheduled the following Fri for my MAKO TKR. It has been the best decision I have made so far!! I am finally pain-free and can enjoy my active life style again! I 1,000% recommend him! I also had great experiences at Specialist Hospital and with their therapy team. Dr. Acurio truly saved my life!!
