Took my daughter to ER due to diarrhea, vomiting and a cough. I am a nurse so I know "good" care from "poor" care. My daughter was taken back to a room in the ER right away. Everything that was supposed to be done was and in the right order. The nurses were great. Got a blood sample on the first try of putting in the IV, got hooked up to IV fluids for dehydration, vital signs monitored continuously, chest x-ray done promptly, nasal swab done for respiratory illnesses, stool sample collected, given medication for diarrhea and nausea right away, and 3 prescriptions. I asked for cough syrup with codeine for her nightly coughing attacks. Dr. said "Yes". Wow! In Appleton, WI if you go to any Dr. they refuse to prescribe codeine cough syrup because it is a "narcotic." Dr. Mandoza was professional, logical, explanatory, caring, and intelligent. He covered every base thoroughly. Turns out she had norovirus and a bacterial bronchitis. Can't recommend Dr. Mendoza highly enough! Great Doctor!!
