How likely are you to recommend Dr. Nelson?
I had gastric sleeve done with a different doctor out of state which did NOT go right and my stomach strictured closed immediately. I couldn’t take fluids or leave the hospital for weeks. After that surgeon tried 5 times to fix it, I began searching for a surgeon would could not only fix me but was willing to touch someone else’s mistake (not easy!). I traveled from the hospital out of state, with feeding tube, straight to Norman Regional and to Dr. Nelson’s care. I had painful scar tissue in what was left of my stomach. Because of 5 weeks of vomiting fluid after my sleeve, I had hiatal hernia and my gallbladder was failing from rapid weight loss. I was extremely frail by the time I made it to Dr. Nelson. After several days of tests, Dr. Nelson performed a 6 hour life saving procedure, converting my sleeve into a bypass using the healthiest tissue and removing the scarred damaged parts, removed my gallbladder, and repaired the hernia. I’m forever thankful for Dr. Nelson.
