Dr. Shen is confident, assuring, compassionate and knowledgeable. I consulted with 3 other surgeons before I picked Dr. Shen. He was the only one that mentioned the need for a diskectomy and it was obvious and causing numbness. I went to HSS, and Mount Sinai (where I had a previous spine surgery) first. I had surgery 3 weeks ago and on the tread mill the next day. 2 hrs. after the surgery, I walked out and went to the diner for pancakes - not kidding. 3 weeks later, back to work, starting to workout. Dr. Shen is fully confident in the results and so far I am very happy. Thank you Dr. Shen.
