Patient Reviews

Schroeder has literally been the vessel that God has used each and every time my husband has been in the OR with complications. He installed 3 LVADs and an ECMO and balloon on my husband over the last 8 years and each time he has been transparent and compassionate. He is a stellar surgeon but possesses bedside manner also, which differentiates him from the other great Cardiothoracic surgeon at Duke. But if we hear either one of their names we know my husband will get the best care and they Will stop at nothing to make sure he comes back home with me. I am forever grateful for Schroeder!

What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
