At the same office, I was seeing another doctor. Dr. Waters, who was so wonderful and appreciated by me. This is because I find that a truly exceptional PCP is a rarity. So, when she left the practice last June, I was worried about the future of my care. Fortunately, I had another pleasant surprise coming my way… Dr. Hannah Facey. Matter of fact, when I had my first appointment with her & saw that she was VERY pregnant, I worried that I was going to lose her as well. Thankfully, pregnancy & maternity leave don’t last forever and, naturally, she returned. In a few days, I am going to see her for the first time since she returned from leave! Even when I can’t see her, she and her excellent staff are ALWAYS there for me, thanks to MYCHART (not by email)! I highly recommend Dr. Facey. She’s a gift to me, since I’m a blissfully sassy, disabled, 59 year old, childless cat lady who understands empathy and humble enough to know to be grateful when a blessing like this comes along.

What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
