Patient Reviews

In 2019, I went to Foothill Presbyterian ER—enlarged prostate had shut off all peeing and I was in pain and panicky. Dr. Ataie was ER physician that day. She was very quick of course to have me catheterized to get urine flowing again. A great relief. But then Dr. Ataie did something she didn’t have to do: She ordered a CT scan to find whether the urine retention was caused by prostate enlargement, or by a severe hernia that I had at the time. I was extremely grateful because she not only found that the prostate was the cause, but also the CT scan clarified some medical conditions I had from childhood. Dr. Ataie then took time to go over both the CT scan and bloodwork with me, pointing out the critical values and showing it was important I get to a urologist sooner than later, else there could be big damage to kidneys. She did a third thing: she called me on the phone the next day to follow up on how I was doing. I will never forget her extra care. Highest recommendation!!
