Dr. Matten is now in Illinois. He was just my anesthesiologist for shoulder surgery. I didn't choose him but I'm so glad he was assigned to me. I was concerned about what type of anesthesia I would have. He explained very clearly to me what would determine the ultimate decision. He did such a great job of administering a nerve block that I didn't need to have general anesthesia. I was so happy! What a nice, professional and compassionate man. He also took the time to review my records.
