Patient Reviews
Mar 18, 2020
Doctor Zick works as a primary MD in the VA system. She is backed by an RN and a practice manager. She is genuinely interested in her patient. She spends time with him, addresses herself to him in spite of his deafness and dementia, and gives him the opportunity to ask questions. However, in the VA system, when she is unavailable, nobody covers for her. If something comes up, one leaves a message on her nurse's extension and will hear back in about 2+ days. If an urgent matter crops up, the patient is expected to report to the urgent care center at Castle Point VA hospital or to go to a local emergency room. The easiest way to request med refills is through the "My Healthy eVet" online access site. Note that the VA system under which Dr Zick works is very bureaucratic.

What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams.
