How likely are you to recommend Dr. Velarde?
On May 25th I started having unbearable stomach pains about 7pm so I went to the ER. The CAT showed that I had perforated bowel and needed emergency surgery. The surgeon on call was Dr. Velarde. I was pretty groggy when I woke up in ICU, but Dr. Velarde gave me more details. I won't go into details here, but suffice to say that he saved my life that night. It was a very difficult surgery and I came very close to needing a colostomy. I will be forever thankful that he is such a skilled surgeon. He is also very compassionate and actually cares about his patients. I would recommend him highly.
