How likely are you to recommend Dr. Dukes?
I had a 99% finger amputation during our camping trip in the north Georgia mountains on the Fourth of July holiday. We ended up at Mountain Lakes ER and had the pleasure of having Dr Dukes as my doctor. He reassured me and comforted me as I was quite freaked out. He really does have a wealth of knowledge, excellent skills, and I truly believe had it not been for his quick actions, I would have surely lost my finger. His bedside manner is phenomenal and he’s just a good ole country boy with 50 years of practicing medicine. He made sure I had a good healthy dose of IV antibiotics and treated my pain appropriately. Most docs would give numbing injections right to the injury. But instead, he numbed my whole finger giving me injections at the base of my finger, which was better tolerated. Dr Duke, if you see this, thank you. You are a true asset to that department. My finger is healing but I’m likely having surgery soon for pins for the fracture. You are a hero to me. Thank you. Love, susan
