Patient Reviews
Jun 27, 2023
I had a growth on my forehead that, years earlier, another dermatologist said would never become melanoma after removing a part of it and the lab results showing it was benign. I saw Dr. Hecker for an exam and he was suspicious of this growth. He biopsied it, and it was melanoma. Fortunately, Dr. Hecker caught it early (Stage 0). I subsequently had the margins removed. No melanoma was seen in the margins, as Dr. Hecker had removed all of the cancer during the biopsy. The surgeon Dr. Hecker referred me to was also excellent and told me there was a 0% chance the melanoma would return to the site or metastasize, due to Dr Hecker catching it so early. Dr. Hecker is an excellent physician. He is kind and caring. He listens carefully and takes his time to explain things to you and your options for treatment. His credentials are excellent. Living in Florida, seeing a dermatologist regularly for an exam is important. I was very fortunate to have chosen Dr. Hecker.
