How likely are you to recommend Dr. Starr?
Dr. Starr is fantastic. I've been going to him for at least 7 years now, and he's really helped with my dry eyes. He preferred Xiidra for emulsive drops to Restasis, simply because Xiidra works faster than Restasis, but warned me about the strange taste Xiidra leaves in your mouth; I couldn't shake it and asked to switch to Restasis, which he agreed. He also warned me years in advanced about using rewetting drops in the twist cap bottle, and lo and behold, this year there's a big lawsuit about that! His staff, however, can do with some manners: the women who do the exams before seeing him are not friendly and also will weirdly push you into certain answers? Like they want to help you cheat the exams and/or change your answers. It's bizarre. I suggest power through those odd women and stick with him - you won't regret it! P.S. he is open about his personal dry eye diagnosis and how he also uses Xiidra, which is comforting to patients!
