Patient Reviews
Sep 26, 2023
I first saw him about 2 years ago for a painful left shoulder with restricted motion. He diagnosed me with an impingement syndrome, provided a steroid injection to my left shoulder and ordered an MRI and physical therapy. The injection provided instant relief but then wore off in about a month and the physical therapy was ineffective. He could have injected me again, but said that would only provide temporary pain relief with a possibility of harmful side effects. He then sent me to a great orthopedic surgeon who fixed my left shoulder. Then I saw him about a month ago for right shoulder pain with restricted motion. I thought I was going to require another surgery, but he diagnosed me with adhesive capsulitis (frozen shoulder) which rarely requires surgery. He ordered X-rays and gave me a steroid injection on my next visit. He also ordered physical therapy which helped, and after a few visits I just did them at home. Now my right shoulder is much better. He is an excellent doctor.

What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
