Patient Reviews
Jul 29, 2024
Seventeen months after my open heart surgery to replace an aortic valve and repair an aortic aneurism with Dr. Bethea, I still think of him often with much gratitude, respect, and awe. I had met with him on a Friday afternoon and we scheduled surgery for 7:00 am Monday morning with the admonition, “Don’t do any vigorous exercise this weekend.” Surgery went well and he turned me over to an excellent care team. I went home that Friday. Four weeks later I, with his blessing, boarded a plane and attended an already scheduled trip to Florida for spring training with my beloved Washington Nationals. Eight weeks later I was spreading 40 pound bags of mulch on my garden. Twelve weeks later I was running my 3 mile loop in better time than I had been running before surgery. And now seventeen months later I am still filled with gratitude for Dr. Bethea.Dr. Bethea gave me my life back!!!Thank you, Dr. Bethea!!
