How likely are you to recommend Dr. Jobe?
Intelligent, experienced surgeon. Bedside manner depends upon day he is experiencing. I have had appointments with him in clinic when he was pleasant and also when he was rushed and terse. I do understand the pressure and responsibility, I’m just offering an honest review. I waited 3 months for initial consultation and fully thought he would perform my surgery when I scheduled it. Silly me. Dr. Jobe came to greet me in pre-op area before surgery and it never occurred to me that I should ask him if he was going to be present for my entire surgery and perform it. I requested and read my surgery notes that were written in the third person and signed by the surgical fellow assigned to him. The notes indicated that the fellow performed the surgery and that Dr. Jobe was present for “key” parts of the surgery. I completely understand the instructional model and know that the fellow was a physician, but I was disappointed. A complication occurred.
