Patient Reviews
Mar 16, 2021
Dr. Palanisamy is a knowledgeable and compassionate doctor. He was my anesthesiologist for a recent surgery I had to remove kidney cancer. I hesitated to have this necessary surgery because of severe and scary anesthetic reactions I've had in the past, thought to be due to a genetic condition I have. Dr. Palanisamy carefully reviewed my medical history, worked with my geneticist and urologist, and came to me before surgery with an understanding of why and what kind of anesthetics might be riskiest for me. He had such a calming presence that after months of worrying and hesitating on this surgery, I felt completely at ease the second he walked into the OR. We really do need more anesthesiologists like him, who listen to the patient and carefully consider one's personal medical history while determining which medications to use. If I ever end up in an OR again, I hope it is Dr. Palinisamy who walks in my room!
