Patient Reviews

I'm incredibly grateful for Dr. Shah's exceptional care during my journey with Lynch syndrome and colon cancer in my mid-30s. His expertise and compassion guided me at every step, actively involving me in treatment decisions. His unwavering guidance led me to confidently choose a full colectomy, supported by thorough, tailored research. Dr. Shah's remarkable surgical skills, particularly with the da Vinci robot, ensured a swift recovery despite the procedure's complexity (Robotic total abdominal colectomy with ileorectal anastomosis). He is known by medical professionals at St. David's hospital for his mastery the Da Vinci surgery robot, and even teaches other surgeons on how to perform it. His genuine concern for my well-being extended beyond the surgery, facilitating a smooth transition post-surgery. In summary, Dr. Shah's compassionate advocacy makes him more than a skilled surgeon; I wholeheartedly recommend him to others facing similar challenges.

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
