Patient Reviews
Dec 01, 2020
In March 2020 I was referred to Dr. Aakash Modi, an interventional pulmonologist at BMD Anderson Cancer Center. I've had Bronchial stents in my trachea that were fractured and made it difficult to breathe. Dr. Modi determined it was necessary to remove the fractured stent but informed me that it would be difficult to do so since it was embedded in the tracheal walls. Nonetheless, he assured me and my wife that he would take good care of me. Dr Modi took his time to make sure he was able to remove the stent with minimal to damage and was finally able to completely remove it after four procedures. I feel so fortunate to have been under the care of this fine physician and highly recommend him and the entire team at Baptist Medical.
