Counseling is very personal and it is important to find what is right for you. By no means is it a one size fits all professional. Does not mean he is not good but may not be right/good for YOU. He did an amazing job with my family and I cannot say enough about how much they all loved him. We went to him after my husband passed away and we did individual and family sessions. Worked well for all of us. We did Telehealth and in person. You just have to find what/who works for you!! I hope those it didn’t work for kept looking for someone that works good for them and I am sorry you did not have the same experience as we did. All people are good and you gotta find a counselor and a fit with someone that helps you see the good in you and helps you through those tough times we all have!
