It is best for a person with osteoporosis to avoid high impact sports. These include equestrian sports, skiing, contact sports, and any other activity that increases the risk of falling.
What are the signs and symptoms of osteoporosis?
Osteoporosis does not usually cause any symptoms. A person will typically only discover that they have osteoporosis after they experience a fracture from a fall. Because of this, some people refer to it as a "silent' condition.
